Laughing a little, Kara shook her head. "No, it's fine. It's not a bad thing. Although, technically we're both aliens, now, so..." She gave a little shrug. "You've been on my Earth which was technically another planet, so yes you have, you just haven't been to another planet that wasn't some iteration of Earth. So, it's not the same, but it's not totally different, right, and now you're here, anyway so, I don't know. But it's fine, just...maybe don't say it in front of other people until I can decide if it's, like...okay to?" she asked more than said.

The thing about being from another planet while being on Earth was that humans were especially skittish of aliens. Whether their fear was justified or not, it was just a fact of life and Kara had to be careful back home who knew and who didn't know that she wasn't really human at all. The last thing that she wanted to do was to scare off the other volunteers, assuming that eventually there would be some, when she was probably meant to be protecting them.

"No, yeah, I totally agree we should go back up every so often just to make sure. And I'm listening, but I still haven't heard anyone shouting, so that's probably a good sign for right now." Although, it could also be a bad sign that someone was unable to call for help, but Kara won't let herself think that. It would be better for the project if the Also Humans — maybe Kara should just call herself that, she thought, and an ill-timed giggle bubbled up before she could stifle it — waited until it was safer to bring in the regular humans, if there were going to be any. "Sorry. I'm sorry, I just—just something funny I thought of for a second; totally inappropriate timing. Sorry," she said quickly, trying to recover from the giggle that didn't belong. "It's up to you. If you don't think the roof is going to hold, then that probably means it won't and we should relocate."
