Okay, this? This was not what Kara had in mind when she agreed to join the project. She had been under the impression that she would be somewhere at least relatively safe, but evidently, these aliens have a skewed sense of what safety actually is. It wasn't that Kara minded the rain, because she didn't, it was just...you know. Not what she was picturing in her mind. Her fault, she supposed. That was probably her own fault.
Yeah, it was pouring, like really, really pouring, but Kara wasn't worried about her actual safety. She was, however, worried that there might be someone from Earth or another planet who wasn't quite as equipped to protect themselves out in this. Her reflex was to check before she tried to find cover, because whatever this storm wanted to throw at her was probably nothing compared to some of the other hits she'd taken along the way while trying to protect National City. Kara has a feeling that she was chosen specifically to protect the volunteers in Unity, actually, and even if she wasn't, she was already taking it upon herself.
So she was standing out in the rain looking for people, listening for people, trying to figure out if there was someone who needed help who couldn't ask for it properly and just as she was about to take her clothes off to reveal the Supergirl suit underneath and go airborne to look down from the sky, she felt a hand on her shoulder and heard a familiar voice.
"Barry?" she asked and she turned, her face brightening. Kara clapped her hands in front of herself and bounced on the balls of her feet as if the fact that they weren't in the middle of practically a hurricane. "Oh my gosh! Barry, hi!" She thought she'd never see him again. This was amazing! They could protect the group together. Yeah, teamwork!
